Dancehall artist Cindy Sanyu has once again defended her appearances during her stage performances, saying she only dresses the way she does because she is an entertainer.
Being a married woman and a mother, Cindy has always faced criticism from different people who claim she is always indecent when she steps on stage, something that depicts a bad image for someone on her status.
Speaking in an interview, Cindy maintains her stand on her skimpy dressing, saying she is doing it for her fans and not in front of her children.
“If I’m on stage, I’m not your mother. I’m not performing for my children but for my fans and it is what they love, what they enjoy and what they pay for.
I cannot come on stage like I’m the mother of the nation. You should judge me when I’m in front of my children. My dressing when I’m seated and talking with them is what you should judge.
When I’m at home, I’m a wife and when I’m with my children, I’m a mother. My dressing up on stage, I’m not there as your parent but your entertainer,” she said.
This was all birthed by Cindy’s comments on Lil Pazo’s ‘Enkudi’ song, which she termed as useless. In his defense, Pazo, revealed Cindy is not completely innocent as she has a number of songs with vulgar statements too.
