The search for Miss Tourism West Nile went to Adjumani District last Saturday and Fatih Patricia Aseru was crowned the overall winner. The first runner up was Anati Sandra Munduru and in second runners up position was Awekonimungu Shamira .
The event that took place at Aragan Hotel was well attended with revelers flocking the venue as early at 6pm to witness the action on the stage. The girls took to the runway and showcased different outfits and later answered some questions from the judges.
With this year’s theme for the Miss Tourism Pageant being Tourism and Peace, the organisers chose it as a sign of using the pageant not only to promote Tourism in Uganda but also peace.
The three winners from Westnile will join other winners and on September 14th, the grand finale will see which girl and which region will produce the new Miss Tourism Uganda 2024/25.
Ever since the launch of this year’s pageant at Kampala Sheraton Hotel, the Pageant has held searches in regionals like Northern, Buganda, Tooro and Eastern as other regions are yet to host the regional searches before the grand finale that will be at Kampala Serena Hotel.
The reigning Miss Tourism Uganda is Nabukonde Kiyayi who won at the grand finale held last year also at Kampala Serena Hotel but this year, she gets to hand over the crown to the next lucky girl.
