AnKnown Prosper, one of Uganda’s top young vocalists has hit back at back at dancehall artist, Zex Bilangilangi for criticizing his style of music.
In an interview while comparing their style of music, Zex revealed the ‘Tonelabira’ hit maker just wasted his studio time crying through all his songs instead of actually singing for his fans, something that did not sit well with the Anknown.
“He says we only cry, don’t people enjoy the music? He should let us cry. We call it Rnb but he has his own thinking. If he says we are crying, then I have no problem with him because the people love what I’m giving them. How can I stop when they support me and I earn from it?” Anknown questioned journalists.
Anknown Prosper is known for his soothing vocals and ballads that all rotate around the same experience; love. Although he makes his listeners fall in love through his ballads, Anknown is sidelining relationships and concentrating on his music career.
“I was in love once and I can easily fall back in but for now, I’m just doing me. I’m avoiding it right now because it takes so much of my time and yet I want to concentrate on my music more. After I set my maiden concert, I will look for a woman and settle,” he revealed.
Anknown rose to fame during the COVID-19 pandemic, becoming one of the most promising young RnB vocalists with hit songs like Radio Call 9, Tonelabira, among others. He dismissed reports that he was a lockdown artist, explaining he had just taken a sabbatical.
“I had personal things to take care of, that is why I took a music break. But I bounced back and releasing new music,” he said.
Anknown is currently trending and topping charts with his hit song ‘Believer’.
