Joshua Cheptegei sets another New Word Record in Olympics, Paris 2024

Joshua Cheptegei sets men’s 10,000m Olympic record in first track final lap at Paris 2024

Joshua sets another new World Record for Uganda again, in the Olympics at Stade De France in Paris 2024.

He scooped a gold Medal after complete the amazing last runner round of 26:43:14 time, taking the fastest 10,000m race in the history of the Olympic Games.

With a pool of runners that was unprecedentedly quick, the first 13 finishers all came in under the previous Olympic record, which, before Friday night, had held true since 2008.

It was an incredible battle in the men’s final, as the reigning Olympic champion, where Joshua snipped and passed over all the first runners at the start of first round, exceling to hold a Gold Medal.

The 10,000mm Men’s runner, Podium winner followed; Joshua Cheptegei with a GOLD Medal, Berihu Aregawi, Ethiopia – 26:43.44 with a Silver Medal, Grant Fisher from  USA – 26:43.46 with a Bronze Medal, amongst the winners.

Reigning Olympic champion Selemon Barega of Ethiopia missed the podium to take seventh place in 26:44.48.
