Kabako Labels Cindy Sanyu ‘Selfish’ For Not Supporting Local talent

Former Team No Sleep’s Roden Y Kabako has come out to bash dancehall artist Cinderalla Sanyu, calling her selfish over the comments criticizing Enkudi and Shifurah song.

Cindy appeared in a number of media interviews and when asked to comment on the trend that some artists have decided to follow, releasing songs xrated songs that do not appeal to the young generation.

In her words, Cindy described the songs as meaningless.

There is a time for sense and a time for nonsense. A time for seriousness and there’s a time for nothing. Every artist has their space. If it’s time for seriousness, Cindy comes up and songs like Nkudi and Hozambe come out during the time of nonsense,” Cindy said.

Speaking to journalists, Kabako had no kind words for Cindy, advising her to instead offer a helping hand to the artists instead of criticizing their style of music.

“She only thinks about herself. She did not think about what people want. She is jealous, selfish, she is a terrible person. You can not get someone’s three minutes piece and trash talk it, labelling it as bad. No one has ever trashed her music.

Cindy came with a lot of talent from the Coca Cola Popstars (talent search). Not everyone will go through Coca Cola pop stars to get famous. Some need a collaboration from Cindy to become stars so if you sideline them, you are blocking their blessing.” he said.

Kabako on the other hand, praised Lil Pazo and Hoozambe’s music.

It might take Cindy very many years to release a song that big. Music is music. These guys deserve more and if I had my own awards, I would give Hoozambe song of the year.

When we sing sensible songs, they do not pay attention. Yet you have responsibilities to take care of, children to raise. So you find an artist with nothing to take home,” he said.

Kabako advised people to pay attention to Nigerian music and South Africa’s Amapiano which he says is just beats with little or no meaning at all.

“The people you want us to copy have no meaning at all. I advise artists to beat social media criticism and do what is trending.” he spoke in an interview.
