Levixone has come out to defend fellow gospel artist Gabbie Ntaate against claims that she is not a born again Christian.
Speaking in an interview, the ‘Turn The Replay’ hit maker defended Ntaate, rubbishing the rumors spread about his ‘good friend’.
“What I know about Gabbie Ntaate is that she is a woman of God. A strong servant of Christ and personally, I will ask her if she accepted salvation. If she did not, I will know.”
“It is not my job to save her, I’m just an evangelist and my mission is to hook souls for Jesus through my music. I sing the gospel and if God helps and touches you through a song, you confess with your mouth and accept Jesus as your savior.
I love Gabbie so much and she blessed people through her ministry. I can’t judge her and what I’m sure of that she has never denied Jesus Christ,” he said.
Levixone’s remarks come after gospel artist Denis Lanek attacked Ntaate in May, saying she was not fit to be called a gospel artist because she subscribes to the Seventh Day Adventist religion.
“People do not want the truth. Gabbie Ntaate is not a born again and she says it herself on different stations.Â
The problem I have with Ntaate is her coming this side and pretend to be what she is not. We are tired. Her songs are nice be cause she gets them from the Bible just like Chameleone, Bebe Cool, Hassan Nduuga; This doesn’t make them Born Agains,” he said in an interview in May.
Lanek also accused her of plagiarizing King Saha’s Sala Puleesa to reproduce her trending hit song ‘Cheza For Yesu’.
“A Christian doesn’t do that. You do not mix with the world. She stole a love song and fixed in words praising Jesus. It is the Holy Spirit that directs us to sing the songs.” he said.
