Katongole David goes by stage names ”Bukodyo” is a soul Gospel Artist that has transfused what Gospel music should be, to urbanize the genre.
Born and raised in the suburbs of Nakawa, Kampala, he told Kookie Promotions that he was chosen by the spirit of God to deliver and spread his name worldwide since his childhood.
The Young Gospel Star ‘Bukodyo’, has fused the Genre (Gospel Music) to another level of the normal Gospel you know, transfusing the Gospel Melodies, sweetness, with kinda of Rap and RnB style.
He told us that he’s willing to create what is not expected in the Gospel Music Industry, not that everyone could do that kind of music he will, and urbanizing the genre from the normal Gospel.
Bukodyo, with released singles titled “ndiwamukisa” a soul-transfused banger meaning “I am Blessed” with great vocabilities, and Lyrical maturity, he praises the Lord in the song with a combined musical tones and instruments produced by a great producer “Big Davie”. Working with “Dave Thymz” one of those trending videographers in the Music industry, he managed to give out a clear- great Visual expressing the fuse Gospel.
Adding on his first release “Ndiwamukisa”, Bukodyo has stopped his career there and then, he has dubbed another great banger titled “Nalokoka” a Luganda word meaning “I am born again”, trans-genring his fused Gospel career to next Level.
Besides his music career, he however faces some difficulties in the industry as one of it he stated that ‘His fans haven’t transfused with him – Spiritually’ because his Gospel style could not be the usual one you may think.
Minus challenges faced during his music career Journey, Bukodyo has stopped on excelling while he told us that his preparing an Extended Playlist (EP) to his fans that could feature different Gospel Artist and Urban Artists with different Gospel Styles.
Being Lyrically Mature with a different Gospel Style, some artists that he could mention, have however jumped on his career trying to appreciate his work with collaborations and Remixes
