NBS Sport to broadcast live Nakivubo Stadium grand reopening

NBS Sport revealed that, it will broadcast live the grand opening of the refurbished Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium, now rebranded as Hamz Stadium, on June 1, 2024.


This historic event marks a significant milestone in Ugandan sports, and the television channel is committed to bringing it to the nation.

The grand opening promises an exciting array of activities, including a kickboxing match between Umaru Sematta and Golola Moses, football matches featuring URA FC vs. Kitara FC and Express FC vs. SC Villa, as well as netball and basketball games.

The festivities will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display.

“We are proud to be the only sports channel to air this historic event,” said Akatwijuka Victor, Brand Manager NBs Sports.

Fans can purchase tickets online or by downloading the Next Ticket app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Ticket prices are arranging from Shs 50,000 for ordinary, 100,000 for VIP access, and 150,000 for executive.

The channel’s live coverage ensures that those unable to attend in person can still experience the excitement of the grand opening from the comfort of their homes.
