For weeks now, the media has been awash with rumors that NBS TV news reporter Canary Mugume and Wife Sasha Ferguson’s marriage ended.
Ugandans have been cooking up different possible reasons as to why the celebrated love story turned sour and ended the relationship that the couple had built since their teenage years.
Sasha has now provided the answers through her X/ Twitter account (she has now changed her username from Mrs. Mugume back to Sasha Ferguson), indirectly confirming that the marriage is no more.
Through the different replies, Sasha blamed her husband for spending most of his time in bars with different women instead of staying home and raising a family.
At first, media spread a narrative that Sasha had cheated on Canary who they said was not the father of their son. Sasha blamed her husband for not defending her in the media against the damaging allegations.
Canary Mugume and Sasha Ferguson, real name Fiona Nagirinya, tied the knot on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Miracle Center Cathedral, Rubaga, with Pastor Joseph Kayanja officiating the service.
Their wedding ceremony was rumored to have cost a whopping sum of about Shs400 million. The couple welcomed their first child, Cairo a baby boy, in February 2023.
The couple now appears to have blocked each other on Twitter and Instagram. Canary Mugume is yet to comment on the matter although
