Mariam Ndagire and Joanitah Kawalya have addressed the issue of Sheebah’s assault.
Sheebah Karungi was on the night of 9/05/22 assaulted while in her car, at the venue of, & prior to her performance. The musician came out via her Instagram and painfully shared about the assault. Tap link below to see Sheebah’s video.

With videos circulating via various social media platforms, many have been tormented and expressed utter disgust that a person wholly respected would misuse his power and position of power & influence to sexually harrass anyone. Sheebah did not disclose her attacker by name, but shared his status as a subject of influence.
In her address, Mariam Ndagire shared that the assault is unacceptable and that the national perspective of the assaulter has fallen from Grace to grass; together with Joanitah, they nudged all concerned authorities and parties to take immediate action.
“Dressing in any way as one may find pleasant is not an invite to be assaulted. A woman’s dress code is not an invite to disrespect or sexual assault. This is about men controlling their urges and being aware of how to take the necessary steps in courtship or pursuit of a woman, other than attacking women and forcefully touching them.” Joanitah and Mariam said.
